U.S. visa support for Canadians
ready for what’s next.
Hypothetical example: a Notre-Dame-du-Bon-Conseil resident has been offered a role with a U.S. company while continuing to own a Canadian consulting practice. The useful starting point is not a route name. It is a dated description of who will employ the person, what tasks will be undertaken, where those tasks will happen, and which business decisions remain in Canada. That record can reveal whether the proposal is professional employment, an intracompany transfer, an investment plan, an immigrant investment proposal, or several activities requiring separate analysis. A Canadian contract, a U.S. offer, and family plans should never be treated as one permission.
The six principal subjects on this site answer different legal questions. TN examines temporary employment in a listed USMCA profession. L-1A and L-1B concern qualifying companies and a transfer into either leadership or company-specific knowledge work. E-2 is about a treaty investor’s operating enterprise and exposed capital. EB-5 is an immigrant investment process with job-creation evidence and conditional residence. Gold Card must be read from its official materials as they stand when the applicant considers a payment; it is not interchangeable with an investment category. A careful comparison begins with evidence, not with an assumed outcome.
Choose what brings you here. Leave with a short list of things to discuss—not another long form to fill out.
A title alone does not establish TN eligibility.

A remote review can turn an informal cross-border idea into a list of answerable questions. For employment, collect the job description, reporting line, expected duration, credentials and licensing facts. For an enterprise, separate company ownership from personal funds, then trace any transfer of money with bank and transaction records. For a family, list citizenship, present status, school plans, work plans and important birthdays individually. The law is federal, so living in a village municipality changes neither eligibility nor the evidence standard. It does make a clear digital file especially practical: records can be reviewed without assuming a local appointment.

Personal support.
A practical plan.
No promises we can’t keep.
Write down work, investment, ownership and family activities before selecting a category.
Place contracts, employment dates, transfers, filings and intended travel on one sequence.
Check citizenship, qualifying relationships, credentials, capital and proposed duties against the applicable rule.
Keep payments, travel and start dates conditional until the proper path is understood.
The team works remotely with applicants who want a method before they make a travel, hiring, purchase or payment decision. Shneur Herman, Jo Kubti and Alexander Paton can organize questions for the facts supplied and direct the conversation toward the official requirements. This is not a substitute for legal representation where one is needed, and no result follows merely from preparing a strong-looking file. The useful objective is narrower: identify the route that fits the real arrangement, identify facts that need correction, and avoid relying on a future filing as if it were present authorization.
Find your pathwayBring records in the language in which they were created, and flag any document that needs a faithful translation or credential assessment. The consultation can be arranged remotely, by phone or WhatsApp through this site. Do not omit an inconvenient ownership interest, a previous U.S. filing, a dependent’s work plan, or a change in duties simply because it seems unrelated to the first question. Complete facts are more useful than a polished partial narrative. Government officers apply U.S. rules, not a municipality-specific version of them.

No. TN eligibility turns on Canadian or Mexican citizenship, not on holding a Canadian PR card.
No automatic conclusion follows from the payroll location. The activity and the place where it is performed need review.
No. A spouse’s or child’s intended activity must be considered under the rules for that dependent status.
Only after the proposal, evidence and timing have been examined. A filing plan is not itself permission to begin the activity.
