It should not be described as commercial capital promising repayment or returns. The September 7, 2026 official processing fee is US$15,000 per person and nonrefundable; the principal gift is US$1,000,000 individually or US$2,000,000 corporately. Family and continuing corporate obligations are additional.

Confirm current official gift and fee terms. Keep EB-5 capital, project risk and other business contributions in separate categories.
Build a dated review file around the current official fee notice, required gift payment instruction, payer records, currency and transfer evidence, and any separate professional costs. Compile separate entries for the required government gift, processing fee, currency transfer, professional bills, and any unrelated EB-5 or commercial funds. Its practical purpose is to decide which amount is a government payment and which amount is a separate cost that cannot be described as the program payment, rather than to collect papers with no stated issue. Hypothetical example: a custom watchmaker compares a commercial advisory invoice with the government amount and calls both the Gold Card investment. Compare the watchmaker’s advisory invoice with current government instructions; label the gift, processing charge, and private service cost according to their actual recipient. Verify official amounts and payment directions at the time of transfer, identify each payer, then segregate gift payments from recoverable business assets. A recurring problem is calling a fee, a private expense, and the required gift payment interchangeable forms of investment. Gold Card is an official-program framework in which the applicant makes the required payment to the U.S. government; it is not a conventional visa. The payment, vetting, underlying immigration requirements, and current instructions must be checked independently. Reconfirm the Gold Card cost plan before money moves if official gift terms, processing fees, payer identity, exchange arrangements, or instructions change.
